DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENTS
Alvin offers an array of diagnostic assessments including:

​Alvin guides families through the entire process, before, during the assessment, and most importantly, after the assessment. He delivers detailed feedback sessions to both parents and the child, comprehensive reports, as well as a consolidated ‘key-findings and recommendations’ report that is more user-friendly for school staff and families alike. Alvin works collaboratively with families, as well as Paediatricians, Educators, and other Allied Health Professionals, to ensure the greatest support is provided to his clients.​

COUNSELLING & THERAPY
Alvin also provides therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and families on a range of issues including; Anxiety, Depression, Behavioural Difficulties (e.g. ADHD, ODD), as well as counselling for children and families encountering relationship or interpersonal difficulties. Alvin tailors his therapy to the needs of each client. Using his early intervention background, he uses both a family-centred approach and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework. He also often integrates elements of other evidence-based modalities including Family Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He provides a warm, safe, and inspiring space for clients to explore their difficult experiences, work towards their goals, and thrive.

SCHOOL TRANSITION
Finding the right school for your child is a difficult feat. At times, this process can be overwhelming and complex. Alvin can help you through this course, firstly by administering a thorough diagnostic assessment and then making recommendations of ‘where to’ next. Alvin has extensive experience in liaising with schools to ensure a smooth transition, as well as providing therapeutic support to the family. He also has in-depth knowledge of the different funding systems in government, catholic, and independent schools.
